Call With Us
(1 review) |
I have been using this service now for over 3 months. The connection is very clear and the rates are also reasonable. Payments are accepted via PayPal and Google Checkout. You should try this provider based out of New Jersey. By: Ashok S Nov 12, 2007 |

voovox
(5 reviews) |
It simply works for us. I was suspicious at first (and for valid reasons) as the company’s reviews were somehow mixed and all over the map. Sound quality has been 100% great for us and the savings on my telephone bill over the phone company is huge. I have recommended the service to many of my friends. Hope this review will be beneficial when searching your next PhoneGnome phone provider. Thank you voovox and PhoneGnome for your great service. By: Esmerari J Apr 30, 2008 |

Vocal-net service
(7 reviews) |
I gave Vocal-net a try and I love it. No one notices that this isn't a regular phone. I never had to call customer service which is a great thing. When I ordered the service online the account was ready to use right away!! The set up worked perfectly. I've had this for 6 months and I am very satisfied. I just switched to the Platinum version that includes international calling. By: Stewart U Mar 13, 2007 |

Sipgate.co.uk
(1 review) |
SIPgate - German-based VoIP Provider VOIP to PSTN as well as PSTN to VOIP service provider with free voicemail. Subscribers to this service get a public phone number that people can call (in "selected cities" in Austria, Germany and UK) for free. In the UK nearly all geographic number are available along with 0845 (lo-call) and 0870 (national rate) numbers as well. It is free to sign up and to call anybody on the Sipgate network as well as some other VOIP networks (FWD, Iptel, Sipphone.com, IAXTel, Telio.no, freenet, web.de and more). There is no monthly charge for the assigned phone number. Sipgate works with pre-paid accounts, which you can recharge by credit-card or bank-debit. There are charges for calls from VOIP to PSTN only. By: Graham C Nov 05, 2005 |

lately, they changed the US calls to US$0.02 from .01 that's 100% increase. and for customer/tech support its takes time for support tickets be answered but they have an active forum. it really compensates the slow support tickets. By: m c Feb 07, 2007 |

wengo
(1 review) |
the price even lower than the betamax group of itsp(voip buster,voipdiscount,sipdiscount,voipcheapt,etc.)..the only downside is you have to instruct wengo tech people that you will use their services with pg for them to correctly configure your wengo account to work perfectly and the best to contact them is via their forum. their forum is as active as the gizmo's. wengo is subsidiary of neuf telecom. from their site: neuf telecom is the largest alternative provider of telecommunications services in France, the European leader in unbundling, and was among the first ISPs in Europe to successfully launch VoIP and TVoDSL - a testimony to it's focus on innovation. Diamondcard.us
(1 review) |
Diamondcard.us offers a large array of services. Dreamtime.net Inc. is the developer of Diamondcard.us. They have two data centers (USA and Europe) that a PhoneGnome user can use to access their termination services. You can see up to the moment billing and call history and instant recharge of accounts using a credit card. Allows you unlimited simultaneous calls. By: Rogers T Mar 03, 2007 |

Onesuite.com
(1 review) |
This long time low price prepaid long distance and phone card site quietly offers voip service without buying any special packages. Unfortunately, they charge the same price for a voip call as they do for one initiated through calling a local access number. 2.5 cents a minute is cheap for prepaid long distance, but less so for a voip call. A couple of tips on translating from Onesuite to Phone Gnome: the SIP host and domain are voip.onesuite.com. The SIP user name is the one you chose when signing up at onesuite–it is NOT your 14 digit account number. The password is found at https://www.onesuite.com/my_longdistance.asp under the heading of “Broadband Access” and NOT your regular onesuite password, although you can change it. The service works if you set username and domain required in “From” header to “yes”. By: BC L Sep 11, 2007 |

AIM Call Out
(1 review) |
AOL calls it their "Open Voice Program" but it's really just a way to deliver calls using your AIM Callout account via SIP. We tested it with PhoneGnome and it works fine. We have not figured out how to have it deliver the proper Caller-ID - it ways shows a AIM Callout number (an advertisement for the service). See this link for more info: http://voice.aol.com/SIP-Info By: David B Apr 30, 2008 |

voip.co.uk
(1 review) |
£20 a year subscription with inclusive UK calls evenings and weekends and 2p for 1 hour at peak times together with excellent quality and support (not been needed here) makes this the best local voip provider known to man. Sadly, new Home/SOHO tariffs which were promised by autumn 07 and are still not forthcoming (spring 08), together with the fact that new customers are unable to sign up for the Domestic service gives a strong hint that this side of the business is about to die a death. A crying shame. By: Trevor H May 07, 2008 |

VOIPdiscount
(3 reviews) |
The call quality of VOIPdiscount varies considerably from one hour to the next. I never had a problem getting a connection, however, as stipulated in the VOIPdiscount Terms and Conditions, your call may (and often does) drop after one hour of use, and sometimes calls will drop within the first few minutes of a conversation for no apparent reason. International calls were usually better quality than domestic (North America). This isn't a bad service start your SIP journey with, but it cannot begin to compare with the GREAT quality and reliability of PhoneGnome's Reach Beyond service and/or VocalNet. Hope this helps! FonoSIP
(1 review) |
We had used FonoSIP for our international calling vendor, but they started to drop calls or failed to connect the calls. We put up with that for awhile, but we had to make a change. It worked quite well when we signed up (what a painful process!) but we became more and more disappointed as we went along. We think that a ITSP service should at least connect the calls and keep them connected. The user portal is pretty easy to use, but a bit confusing (e.g. "PSTN balance" really means "account balance"), but it's OK. By: Julie S Sep 13, 2005 |

It is very easy to setup and can buy credit online using credit card. The rates to India are very competitive with good quality connections most of the time. I would reccommend this provider for international calling to South East Asia. Ashok Sethi By: Ashok S Jan 12, 2006 |

VoicePulse
(2 reviews) |
I have had several accounts with VoicePulse Connect for several years with auto-recharge activated. Recently, out of the blue, with NO NOTIFICATION, VoicePulse suspended the account "for low balance" even though I have authorized them to re-charge the account as needed. This may have something to do with recent changes in the mimimum payments, which is a real downside for PhoneGnome users. VoicePulse now requires $50.00 to open the account and at least $25.00 for each re-charge amount. For many ordinary home users, that's a year or more with of calls! Recently, their support and reliability have also deteriorated. By: Lisa B Jul 03, 2006 |

CALLcentric.com
(1 review) |
CALLcentric.com has been working okay, but has some quirks. Of importance to PhoneGnome customer is that they explicitly DO NOT support using PhoneGnome with their service. Their statement is: "We have reviewed the phonegnome website as well as the ITSP integration guide, and at this time we do not believe that the model offered is something we would like Callcentric to participate in." So if you have any problem swith this provider, you are on your own. By: conlif j Jan 15, 2007 |

NuFone
(6 reviews) |
When the service worked, it worked fine and the rates were cheap. But when things go wrong, customer service was poor. They always just said "everything looks fine on our side" and "that error message doesn't come from us." They couldn't (or wouldn't) tell me if the call was even getting routed from PhoneGnome and getting rejected by them, or if the call wasn't even getting to them in the first place. I haven't been able to place calls for a couple of weeks (ever since their big datacenter outage). By: Tim B Aug 20, 2007 |

The technical requirements for compatibility as a SIP PSTN termination provider are (a) to support SIP RFC 3261 and (b) permit calls to be authenticated on a per-INVITE basis, i.e. not requiring the node to be SIP registered. PhoneGnome uses the provider service for OUTBOUND calls only, purely for VoIP to PSTN termination. It does not REGISTER to the provider's SIP server and none of the INBOUND features offered by the provider service (if any) apply in a PhoneGnome context. Technical issues associated with use of non-affiliated SIP PSTN termination providers are the sole responsibility of the customer. No technical support for unaffiliated third-party services is provided by TelEvolution, Inc.
