Public Submission Guidelines for the User-Contributed Library



Permitted File Types

Any type of file can be submitted to the TelEvolution User-Contributed Library site. Files are not hosted on the User-Contributed Library site, but instead are linked to a site containg the file. Please note that while the upload page includes a field in which you can include small screen shots to illustrate your main file contribution, you could also include a larger full resolution graphic as the main contribution itself. TelEvolution cannot guarantee that files will be virus free. You use any non-human-readable files at your own risk.

Description of Your Contribution

We request that you please provide a complete description of the purpose and proper use of your contribution. If your contribution contains code, we strongly recommend that the code itself also include explanatory comments.

Multiple Files

If you wish to submit a set of files together as one contribution, please first ZIP or TAR them into a single file. .

Screen Shots

When including a screen shot image with your contribution, please keep the size of the screen shot below 100 Kb.

White Papers

If your contribution includes a white paper, we recommend that you provide the paper in a format that is commonly accessible and portable, such as PDF or plain text.

Demo Code

If your contribution is an example of a type of capability, but is not something that would be widely used as it is, we recommend that you indicate in the brief description that the code is merely an example.

Mention Dependencies in Description

If your contribution includes code that depends on other code that you or another user has written separately, please indicate these dependencies in the Description field.
