Registering and Logging on
Ready to use the PhoneGnome web portal? Go to the http://my.phonegnome.com web site, then select the large button labeled Register Your PhoneGnome Now to register your PhoneGnome.

How do I register?
Ensure your PhoneGnome is connected to your phone line and has completed self-configuration. If you don't have a PhoneGnome, you can get one here.

To register for the PhoneGnome owner portal, you complete these steps:
  1. When you visit the http://my.phonegnome.com web site, click Register Your PhoneGnome Now on the main page. A form opens so that you can enter information about yourself, including your name and email address.

  2. PhoneGnome will send an email to the email address you specify containing a PIN code.

  3. Follow the instructions in the above email to register your PhoneGnome phone.
Do I need anything before I register on the web site?
You supply information about yourself, including:
  • The phone number of the phone line plugged into your PhoneGnome. Your PhoneGnome phone number is the phone number associated with the phone line you plugged into your PhoneGnome LINE port, i.e. probably your home phone number. This is one of the wonderful things about PhoneGnome: you continue to use your normal phone number -- you don't need to learn a new special PhoneGnome number.

  • Your name

  • Your e-mail address

  • A username that you wish to use on the PhoneGnome support site, http://www.phonegnome.com/support (Like an IM handle, e.g. bobsmith)

When you click Register, you're done with the first step. Next you register your phone.

What do I need in order to register my phone?
Registration is not complete until the http://my.phonegnome.com web site associates your PhoneGnome phone with your account.
You will receive an email providing instructions on the steps to be performed using your PhoneGnome phone to complete the registration. Therefore, a valid and working email address is required.

What if I forget my PIN?
When you visit the http://my.phonegnome.com web site, there's a Forgot PIN link right below the user name and password boxes where you log in. Click Forgot PIN and you'll be able to enter just your email address you supplied during registration and your password will be e-mailed to you.
