Any phone number that can be dialed from the phone can be placed into the on-line Phone Book and called using click-to-dial, not just VoIP destinations.

SIP addresses can also be entered into the PhoneBook to allow convenient free calling to any SIP user in the world.

Basic voicemail-to-email is included FREE with PhoneGnome. When you are not home, PhoneGnome will take a message and send it to the email address you specify as a WAV attachment.

PhoneGnome makes it easy for owners to choose a plan from the provider of their choice, using their My PhoneGnome website. They can elect to use that provider for national long-dustance, international calls, or both, and select separate providers and plans for each.

Once one activates the Internet calling feature, there is nothing special required to place a call using that service. One simply dials a number, normallly, with no pins or access codes required. If PhoneGnome can complete the call for free, it will, otherwise it will use the selected Internet calling service. Users can get calling card or even better pricing to those places they cannot call for free, with the convenience of dialing in the conventional way, using their normal home phone.
